Prof. JI Xingchen is currently tenure-track Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In 2022, he was selected as one of the ten winners of the Optica Foundation 20th Anniversary Challenge Award. In 2021, he was awarded “NSFC Excellent Young Scholars Fund (Overseas)” and “Shanghai Leading Talents Youth (Overseas)”. Prof. Ji received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University in 2018. He then worked as a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University in the City of New York before joining Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a faculty member. His research interests include integrated photonics, nanofabrication, nonlinear optics, and chip-based source for imaging. He has written and co-authored over 100 international journals and conferences including Nature, Science Advances, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Optica. His works have been cited over 4000 times with an h-index of 29. He has been invited to present at prestigious conferences such as CLEO, OFC and POEM, and served as an invited reviewer for many high impact journals, such as Nature Photonics and Nature Communications. He is also a committee member of IEEE Photonics Conference.
