My research interests concern the machining of fibrous composites utilizing both experimental and numerical methodologies, and micromachining of functional surfaces for dental dentures. The specific research fields include but are not limited to:
1. Multi-scale analysis of machining fibrous composites in relation to subsurface imperfections using both experimental and numerical methodologies;
2. Investigations addressing the mechanisms of heat transfer and issues of heat-induced damage for fibrous composites subjected to mechanical machining;
3. Constitutive modeling of composite materials introducing the thermo-mechanical coupling effects of machining;
4. Studies concerning the micro-machining of functional topological surfaces for dentures and the development of specialized tools and fabrication processes.
